Collective Books Co LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Readrs mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, we may automatically collect certain information, including:

• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and language settings.
• Usage Data / Analytics: Story views, chapter reads, reading progress, session duration, and general app interaction patterns.
• Authentication Tokens: We use anonymous, device-based authentication. A secure token is generated and stored locally on your device using secure storage (expo-secure-store). We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information for authentication.

1.2 Purchase Information

When you make in-app purchases (e.g., purchasing "Pièces d'Or" / Gold Coins or subscribing to Readrs Premium), the following data is processed:

• Product purchased and transaction identifiers
• Purchase date and platform (iOS / Android)
• Subscription status (active, expired, cancelled)

All payment processing is handled by Apple (App Store) and/or Google (Google Play) via RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your credit card number, billing address, or other financial details.

1.3 Advertising Data

We use AppLovin MAX to serve rewarded and interstitial advertisements. AppLovin may collect:

• Advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android)
• IP address (for approximate geolocation at city/region level)
• Device and interaction data related to ads served

1.4 Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or physical address.
• We do not access your camera, microphone, contacts, or photo library.
• We do not collect precise geolocation data.
• We do not send push notifications.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features
• Track your reading progress and bookmarks across sessions
• Process and fulfill in-app purchases and manage your coin balance
• Manage your subscription status
• Display relevant advertisements
• Analyze usage trends to improve content and user experience
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on our backend infrastructure powered by Convex, with servers located in the EU (eu-west-1 region). We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and secure server-side storage.

Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using expo-secure-store, which leverages the iOS Keychain and Android Keystore.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect and process data:

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: With third-party vendors who assist us in operating the App (as listed in Section 4), under contractual obligations to protect your data.
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case your data may be transferred to the acquiring entity.
• Protection of Rights: To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, or that of our users or the public.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App's services. Since we use anonymous authentication, your data is associated with your device token. If you uninstall the App and the device token is lost, your data may become inaccessible.

We may retain certain aggregated, anonymized analytics data indefinitely for product improvement purposes.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

• The right to access the personal data we hold about you
• The right to request correction of inaccurate data
• The right to request deletion of your data

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. 9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for any international transfers, including standard contractual clauses where required by applicable law.

10. Ad Tracking and Your Choices

You can control ad tracking through your device settings:

• iOS: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking to manage App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permissions.
• Android: Go to Settings > Privacy > Ads to opt out of ads personalization or reset your advertising ID.

Disabling ad tracking may result in less relevant advertisements but will not affect the core functionality of the App.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
